The headline figures (median, minimum, maximum, quartiles) are over ONE figure per source for each breakdown it prices, in year (a source's median where its page yielded several accepted sentences for one breakdown), so a page that gives figures for several breakdowns gives one for each and N counts 4 figures, never sentences; 18 candidate sentence(s) were refused by a reviewer with the reason recorded.
The fuller derivation this dataset is chartered to grow into (not yet what the figures above are; they are each source's own published figure as read): one row per regime per obligation: who must keep a register (a school, an employer, an early-years provider), what each entry must record, how often it must be taken, which codes or categories are prescribed, who may inspect it, and the retention period - quoted from the instrument with its citation and commencement date.
The derivation is the cross-regime table nobody publishes: the same seven questions answered for the England school register (2024 regulations), the England employer's working-time and pay records, and the US FLSA record set, so a reader arriving from 'attendance register' gets the rule that actually binds them rather than an app advert.
